David A. Wagner Info -

I shot the picture of the Conservatory at the NY Botanical Gardens with a Roundshot Super 220 VR computer controlled panoramic camera.It was tilted at a 45 degree angle and set into the middle of the reflecting pool on a tripod. The camera was set on a time delay to take a picture 2 minutes after my assistant and I left the pool so the water could settle down and become a "mirror". A full rotation of the camera to capture the photograph took about 1 and a half minutes. The picture was taken as part of a Time New Media project in February of 1997. The full piece was QTVR tour of the NY Botanical Gardens in the Bronx, New York City.

David A. Wagner Biography -

Much of David Wagner's early special effects photography work was misconstrued as computer generated. In 1984 he started experimenting with photography and computer graphics in what would eventually define his style and and change his career. His work has been published world wide and is in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art and Liberty Science Center. In 1997 he won 10 national and international awards for his still photography. David started the evolution of his company into the field of Virtual Reality in 1996, after discovering QuickTimeVR technology. Since then, he has focused much of his time on VR development and by taking on critical key employees, David A. Wagner Photography has become VirtuallyReal, Inc. The new company has forged strategic partnerships with LivePicture, Kaidan, IPIX, Apple Computer and Ed's Discount Warehouse. Clients include: Time, Inc. New Media, Universal Pictures, Meadowlands Sports Complex, Bozell Advertising, Sharp Electronics and others. A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, David Wagner also sits on the FIT photo advisory board for 97-98. He lives in the East Village of New York City with his wife and 7 year old daughter.
